Quick answer
Post-office counter hours and delivery days are different. Check Canada Post’s official calendar and the hours of your chosen office. In 2026, the observed Boxing Day closure is December 28.
Is the post office open?
Look up the specific post office rather than assuming the store’s hours apply. A counter can be open when there is no collection that day. Check the cutoff before depositing an urgent parcel.
