Start with the shipment plan
Check the assigned destination, units, labels and delivery instructions in Seller Central. Do not reuse an old centre address or instructions for a different product.
Arrange customs responsibilities
Before shipping to the US, confirm the importer, identifiers and payment arrangements with the broker. The receiving centre is not automatically the importer.
Gather the precise product description, value, origin, party details and documents requested for the service. Check restrictions before paying. A classification suggestion does not replace validation of the declared information.
Compare transport and ancillary charges
Request quotes with the same postal codes, handover date, packed dimensions, weight and options. Record the exact service, estimated date, included charges and exclusions. A carrier comparison is not a measurement of on-time performance.
There is no universal price winner. Compare the total for the parcel, including applicable fees and account terms. Weight alone or a carrier’s reputation does not establish which will be cheaper.
Follow inventory receiving
Carrier proof of delivery and Amazon’s unit check-in are different stages. Keep the plan, documents, weights and handover evidence to reconcile received quantities.
