Parcel Locker Networks in Canada: A Comparison (2026)

Parcel lockers in Canada: Canada Post, Amazon Hub Locker, Expedibox, Penguin Pickup, Snaile and more, compared by who can use them and the rules that apply.

Parcel Locker Networks in Canada: A Comparison (2026)
Quick answer

Parcel lockers in Canada fall into two groups. Building lockers serve the residents of one building: Canada Post has nearly 22,000 of them, and companies such as Snaile and Parcel Pending install them too. Public networks serve anyone nearby: Amazon Hub Locker (Amazon orders only, 100+ cities), Expedibox in Quebec, Penguin Pickup at transit stations, and our LAVAL-01 locker in Laval.

Building lockers or a public network

Before comparing names, ask who can use it. A building locker serves only residents, often for a single carrier. A public network takes parcels for anyone, but each has its own rules: accepted carriers, maximum size, pickup deadline and access hours.

What to check before you choose

  • Accepted carriers: a Canada Post building locker only takes Canada Post deliveries.
  • Pickup deadline: 3 days at Amazon, up to 5 days at Canada Post before the parcel moves to a post office.
  • Access hours: some lockers are open around the clock, others only during the host’s hours.
  • Maximum size: a parcel too big for the largest compartment goes to a counter instead.

Our network: one site, stated plainly

Our LAVAL-01 locker has been open since August 2026 in our store at 2805 boul. de la Concorde Est, Laval, during store hours. The OutOfHome network, for carriers and businesses that want to become a pickup point, has one site so far. We do not claim to match the size of the networks above.
