Two very different carriers

Nationex is a private company active since 1980, with its head office in Saint-Hubert, Quebec. Its network is centred on Quebec and Ontario: that is where it advertises 24-hour delivery, and its Ontario page highlights next-day delivery across the Greater Toronto Area and the Quebec–Ontario corridor.

Canada Post is a federal Crown corporation. The Canadian Postal Service Charter requires it to deliver to every address in the country, five days a week, less often in some remote areas. It also ships to the United States and more than 190 countries.

Weekends and holidays

No page on nationex.com offers Saturday or Sunday delivery, and Nationex provides neither delivery nor pickup on the holidays in its 2026 calendar, including Quebec's Fête nationale on June 24. Canada Post delivers Monday to Friday; since its September 28, 2026 announcement, eligible addresses in select areas of Ottawa, then Montréal and Toronto by late November, can also receive parcels on weekends.

In practice, a parcel handed to either one on a Friday should not be expected before Monday, unless the recipient is in an eligible Montréal area and Canada Post tracking says so.
